Improving Efficiency with Geosil50
As the Managing Director of a water treatment company, our client was responsible for the deep cleaning and disinfection of a number of care homes, hotels and industrial premises. He previously used chlorine dioxide-based products to complete disinfections.
Use of Geosil50 is beneficial compared to chlorine based biocides since no chlorinated compounds are released with Geosil50 and biocidal effectiveness is not affected by pH (see BSI PD855468).
Zebec already had a long-standing relationship with the company and was providing it with a number of water treatment services. In particular, Zebec was providing a chemical supply and consultancy service for the company’s Legionella management services.
We helped him to implement a Geosil50 treatment regime and trained him in how to use the product in water distribution systems. Every situation was risk assessed, with consideration for the vulnerable groups and their increased susceptibility to Legionellosis, as per the L8 Guidance. HSG 274 notes that biocides require meticulous control and monitoring to be effective. We were on hand to provide full technical support and answer any questions.
